CPD Connect Comes to Inverness - 10-13 November 2026

Four days of local learning at UHI House and on the Mobile Skills Unit

This November, CPD Connect is bringing a focused programme of practical skills, career development and simulation-based learning to Inverness. The programme gives GPs and primary care clinicians the opportunity to access several CPD Connect courses locally during one week, with sessions delivered at UHI House and on the Mobile Skills Unit.

Programme at a glance

Preparing for GP Partnership

A full-day opportunity to explore practice finances, personal finance, human resources, partnership agreements, GP contracts, teamwork, conflict, leadership, practice culture, well-being and sources of support.

Introduction to Joint Injections

Update your knowledge of common musculoskeletal conditions, intra-articular steroids and clinical examination, with the opportunity to practise injections using a prosthetic joint.

Simulation-Based Learning

Take part in realistic patient scenarios within a small group, followed by guided discussion with a skilled facilitator. The reflective format supports deeper learning and helps participants relate learning to everyday primary care practice.

Women's Health

Increase confidence in common women's health issues, identify red flags, consider undertreatment and recognise personal learning needs.

Child Protection

Develop confidence in recognising abuse, applying workplace procedures, managing concerns, sensitive history-taking, communication and uncertainty.

Emergencies in Primary Care

Practise recognising and responding to a range of emergencies that may be encountered in primary care using safe, realistic scenarios.
