Bereavement | A Masterclass Webinar Series

Register now for a three-part masterclass webinar series, which is aimed at medical staff working in all settings across Scotland.

The programme, hosted by Public Services Delivery Scotland, comprises of three sessions:

The sessions will be led by experts from the Death Certification Review Service, forensic pathology, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, and National Records of Scotland. The series will provide practical guidance on legal and procedural responsibilities that follow a patient’s death, real-world case examples and up-to-date advice to support safe, accurate and timely practice.

There will be content relevant to doctors at all stages of their careers. Whether you are a foundation doctor completing Medical Certificates of Cause of Death for the first time, a resident doctor seeking greater confidence in complex cases, or an experienced clinician wishing to refresh your knowledge, the sessions will offer valuable learning directly applicable to day-to-day practice.

Participants are encouraged to attend all three webinars to gain a comprehensive understanding of the processes surrounding death certification, reporting to the Procurator Fiscal and registration, although each session can also be attended as a standalone event if required.
