What is Long Arm Supervision (LAS)?
You could take part in a range of clinical and non-clinical activities, including:
- Observing and participating in patient care
- Conducting assessments or interventions under guidance
- Attending team meetings or case discussions
- Engaging in reflective practice and supervision sessions
- Completing service improvement or audit projects
Throughout these activities you would:
- Reflect upon what you have learnt at university and previous placements that you can bring to this setting.
- Think about what skills, experience and knowledge you can take back to university and future placements/employment.
- Consider how these activities relate to conceptual models of practice, framework and current policies.
