How will you learn whilst on a LAS placement?

What is Long Arm Supervision (LAS)?
Technology may play a central role in supporting your learning during a Long-Arm Supervision (LAS) placement. You may engage in:
- Remote communication tools such as video calls for supervision and feedback, messaging platforms for day-to-day contact, and shared documents for reflective logs or collaborative tasks.
- Collaborative learning opportunities including joint supervision sessions, peer feedback groups, and shared project work or presentations.
Although your Practice Educator (PE) may not be physically present, they remain actively involved in your development. To make the most of your placement:
- Consider using a daily reflective log (see useful tools sections) to track your learning and experiences.
- Communicate regularly with your PE about your progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Gather feedback from on-site staff and share it with your PE to support your development.
