Quality Assurance of Training
The QA team continues to review and refine our quality assurance processes to ensure they remain proportionate, sustainable and responsive to the needs of the Healthcare Science workforce. As training activity has increased, work has been underway to introduce greater automation into some of the routine administrative aspects of QA.
Over the coming months, stakeholders may notice changes such as automated communications, reminders and updates associated with core QA processes. These developments are intended to improve consistency, reduce delays and provide more timely information to trainees, supervisors and training centres.
Importantly, automation does not replace the supportive role of the QA team. Rather, it allows the team to spend more time providing advice, addressing concerns, supporting those experiencing difficulties, and working collaboratively with training centres to maintain high-quality learning environments across Scotland.
As these changes are introduced, we would encourage trainees, supervisors and training centres to continue to keep us informed of any changes to training arrangements, emerging concerns, or support requirements. If you experience any issues during the transition to these new processes, please get in touch – your feedback will help us to refine and improve the system as it develops.
