Periodontal Diseases in Primary Care guidance update

Work has been continuing to update The Prevention and Treatment of Periodontal Diseases in Primary Care guidance. The Guidance Development Group (GDG) has met nine times and consideration of the 28 clinical questions has been completed. A two day face-to-face meeting of the GDG was held in March to review the draft guidance.
Further meetings are planned for April and May to finalise the draft for external consultation in summer 2023, which will last for a period of six weeks. A number of supporting tools to assist clinicians in the management of periodontal disease are also being developed for inclusion in the guidance.
