Invitation to participate: New survey on mental health and wellbeing in dental settings

06

The years preceding the Covid-19 pandemic saw a growth in evidence regarding the prevalence of mental health issues among members of the dental team. The pandemic saw further significant negative effects upon mental health and wellbeing, with several studies reporting the impact on dental team stress, anxiety, and burnout. While Covid-19 may no longer dominate headlines, significant pressures and uncertainties remain.

All members of the dental team are invited to take part in a new survey that is being carried out by the NES Dental Clinical Effectiveness workstream, in partnership with colleagues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, to evaluate the current status of mental health and wellbeing of dental teams across the United Kingdom. The results of the survey will inform the future provision of mental health and wellbeing support and training for dental teams and will be shared with policy, service and education leaders in dentistry across the UK.

The questionnaire takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete and is available at https://www.sdpbrn.org.uk/current-projects/mental-health-in-dental-settings-u-k-project-mindset-u-k/

Please share this link with all members of your dental team and encourage as much participation as possible.
