Supervision Implementation Plan

Each organisation should have an agreed plan for the implementation of supervision for AHPs based on the guidance highlighted in this statement

Professional Governance 

It should be noted that organisational may have their own supervision policies or guidance and work will be undertaken to ensure the key principles are reflected in these at a local level.

Review

Given the importance of supervision, this statement should be reviewed by the AHP Directors Scotland, AHP Federation Scotland, the AHP Supervision Advisory Group, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), NHS Education for Scotland (NES), and the Scottish Government AHP Chief Health Professions Office every 5 years, and amended in accordance with clinical governance standards and relevant professional and government guidelines.
