🎓 Training

We want you to feel confident and well supported as a supervisor. To help with this, we’ve created a structured programme of optometry‑specific training and support, aligned with recognised NHS Scotland supervisory frameworks.

Combined with a focused FTY induction, this CPD‑accredited training, delivered with financially-supported protected learning time, will help you develop and grow your supervisory skills.

👥 Ongoing resources and support

In addition, all Clinical Supervisors will have access to a comprehensive support package, including:

- a dedicated Supervision Hub on Turas Learn, with all the resources you’ll need
- recorded and live national webinars offering guidance at key stages of the FTY
- peer-support sessions
- direct support contacts – including the Educational Supervisor, Designated Prescribing Practitioner, and university Academic Mentor.
