Infection prevention and control e-learning

The ACE team built upon a successful NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde pilot of in-practice team training on Quality Improvement: Becoming Even Better. The initial pilot included 8 dental practice teams, which totalled 76 participants and received very positive feedback.

The pilot has been expanded to volunteering primary care dental teams in NHS Lanarkshire and the first event was delivered to the Public Dental Service in March. The training is interactive, personalised to the participating teams and is based in their workplace. Our team will stay in contact with participants to provide support as they identify local problems, test improvement ideas and look to make positive changes in primary dental care. Further training events are planned and training content will develop as this is rolled out.
