We’ve introduced the FTY and how it will work in practice. Now, we’re focusing on what underpins it: supervision in real clinical settings. The FTY model is designed to give students the right support, at the right time, while reflecting how modern practice actually works.
It will introduce a nationally coordinated, team-based approach to supervision, built on shared responsibility and consistent educational oversight. Rather than relying on one supervisor, it will bring together expertise from across practice and education to support student development.
How FTY supervision will work
Supervision in the FTY will bring together two connected elements:
