Welcome to the NES Dental CPD (DWD) Spring Newsletter
Welcome to the Spring 2024 edition of the Dental Workforce Development (CPD) Newsletter.
In this edition we introduce you to the changes to the name and structure of the CPD workstream. It will now be known as Dental Workforce Development (DWD) and will be a merger of the current CPD and Reducing Inequalities workstreams at NES. There will be no changes to course bookings through Portal as the CPD and Reducing Inequalities workflows will continue to provide the high quality output you are used to. It is a time of great change for everyone working in the NHS, and the NES dental directorate is changing to make it more reactive to these changes going forward. There is also a new Associate Dental Dean to lead the Dental Workforce Development team, Thomas Lamont. In this edition we will let him introduce himself to you through a short video.
In a recent registrants' survey, the GDC identified that over a third of registrants declared they were having problems producing a PDP. In this issue we will give you some tips on how to produce your PDP using the free NES Professional Development Portfolio on Turas Learn.
The new QI compliance details for the current QI cycle have recently been released. This article will try and assist you to comply with your requirements.
