QIiPT Updates
A national survey open to all members of the dental team to evaluate and enable user involvement in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) training development was carried out in August and September 2022. The survey gathered information about dental team members’ experiences of QIiPT IPC in-practice training and their views about how it might be developed or improved.
Key findings of this survey were:
- One hundred and eighty-two dental team members participated.
- In future, 58% would prefer their IPC training to be delivered face-to-face, 23% would prefer virtual delivery and 19% would prefer blended delivery.
- Overall, satisfaction with QIiPT IPC in-practice training was high.
- Eighty-nine percent believed that their most recent QIiPT IPC in-practice training had been useful in supporting their practice to implement IPC processes.
- Many participants expressed a preference for face-to-face training in their qualitative responses.
Following these results, virtual or face to face training can be offered, subject to requirements.
