Finding information lunch and learn: new dates now available!

NES Knowledge services’ extremely popular 'Finding information' series will be running again every Tuesday from 21 October to 25 November.

If you work in health and social care in Scotland, you need access to an up-to-date quality assured evidence base. Join us for our bitesize lunch and learn webinars to help you find that evidence. These topics will be covered over six sessions, including:

  • session 1: What do you need to know? Defining your information need or research question
  • session 2: Getting the best out of The Knowledge Network
  • session 3: Getting the best out of web searching
  • session 4: Getting started with databases
  • session 5: Referencing and plagiarism
  • session 6: Different study types and their benefits and weaknesses

All sessions last thirty minutes with an optional fifteen minutes for questions. Register for all or any of the sessions you are interested in attending. Book your place using this online form.

Sessions will not be recorded but materials will be shared and the series will run again. To hear about new dates, subscribe to our Knowledge Nuggets newsletter.
