Over 63,000 doctors in training and trainers completed this years’ survey across the UK. 76% of all trainees in the UK responded, and 32% of all trainers. In Scotland our response rate was 69% for doctors in training equating to 3,896 responses and 20% of trainers equating to 1,031 responses. 

These figures are higher than those in 2020 when the survey was more bespoke however Scotland’s response rate then was still very good compared to the UK response rate of 47.3%. 2,2579 doctors in training, 46.5%, took the time to complete the 2020 NTS with 1,132 trainers, 23.1%, completing it.
