Congratulations to Mo Al Haddad

Congratulations to Mo Al Haddad

Huge congratulation to my recent PhD student, Prof Mo Al Haddad, for his achievement in being awarded  Bellahouston Medal by the College of Medical Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow.

The Bellahouston Medal is awarded annually as the highest distinction for excellence in theses submitted for the degrees of MD,DDS and PhD, by medical and dental graduates. Mo’s thesis on ‘Acculturation and social connections of International Medical Graduates’ is the first education-focussed thesis to achieve the prestigious Bellahouston Medal since its inception, 128 years ago! Together with my co-supervisor, Dr. Evri Germani, I’m very proud.

Thanks to the PGR Convener, Dr. Tomoko Iwata, and her team at the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing, for their advocacy and support they have provided Mo and other PhD students
