The Supervisory Team

Each FTY student will be supported by a supervisory team consisting of three key roles:
✔️ Clinical Supervisor
A GOC-registered optometrist within the practice who provides day-to-day clinical guidance and professional support.
✔️ Educational Supervisor
An experienced IP practitioner appointed by Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSDS), overseeing overall progression and ensuring national standards are met.
✔️ Academic Mentor
A university-appointed academic maintaining continuity between university learning and workplace training.
Together, this team will offer comprehensive guidance and support throughout the year.
