Monday 9th March HCS Spotlight Sessions - Webinar 

This webinar aims to put a spotlight on the role of Healthcare Science (HCS) in delivering safe, effective, and innovative healthcare across Scotland. Come and hear presentations from colleagues working in various specialisms spanning the five professional groupings within our HCS workforce:

• Engineering Sciences
• Health Informatics Sciences
• Laboratory Sciences
• Physical & Imaging Sciences
• Physiological Sciences

Our event also marks the start of Healthcare Science Week 2026!

This webinar is being hosted by the Healthcare Science team within NHS Education for Scotland on Monday 9th March (12:00 – 13:15), and please note it will be recorded. Thursday, 12 March 2026 DYW Live sessions (09:45 & 13:45) to maximise school participation - aimed at P6-S1 school pupils. We are looking for 4 healthcare science colleagues to support ( 2 HCS colleagues for either morning or afternoon)

Volunteers required for a short presentation showcasing diverse healthcare science roles.

The format for the session is an interactive Presentation (10 mins each): 2 Volunteers required to share career journeys per session supported by visuals (photos or short video clips) , including fun quizzes 

Live Q&A (5 mins): Pupils will submit questions via chat or polls.

SUPER STEM EVENT DURING HCS WEEK: Tuesday 10^TH March at Glasgow University

Looking for HCS colleagues at NHS GGC to support either the following to promote Healthcare Science during Healthcare Science Week.  The options include;

Exhibitor - Host an interactive tabletop activity during our lunchtime exhibition that engages pupils and highlights your work in STEM. Bring along equipment or activities to get hands-on with the attendees.

Workshop Host - Run a 45-minute workshop (repeated three times throughout the day) to showcase your career in STEM and give pupils an engaging glimpse into your field.

The two activities outlined above will give you plenty of opportunities to talk to young people about your industry, and you are more than welcome to do one or the other or both.
