We are excited to welcome a new member our HCS team in the role as education specialist lead for the development of the frameworks and associated resources.

We are happy to report that the Physiological Sciences framework has been finalised and is currently with Scottish Government for consideration. Additionally, the Laboratory Sciences, Physical & Imaging Sciences, and Engineering Sciences frameworks have reached their second draft stages. These drafts are currently with stakeholders for feedback and comments. We anticipate their completion by early March 2026.

The Health Informatic Sciences framework is still in the early stages of development. A short life working group is being formed to advance this project. If you are interested in contributing to the development of this framework, please contact us at HCS@nes.scot.nhs.uk.
