Who?

Experienced HCPC-registered Practice Educators who supervise student learners independently and support other Practice Educators.


Please refer to your professional body advice for supporting practice education and ensure your contributions are within your professional scope of practice.


What?
Knowledge, skills and behaviours

In addition to the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours at Support and Informed Levels, at this level you can:

  • Support colleagues at Support and Informed Level who are new to Practice Education with delivery, assessment and feedback of a variety of models of PrBL.
  • Support colleagues at Support and Informed Level who are new to Practice Education with student support needs, e.g.:
    • Implementing reasonable adjustments
    • Identifying and supporting underperforming students
    • Supporting and escalating student well-being in collaboration with HEI
    • Risk management/incident reporting
  • Identify opportunities for new/innovative models of PrBL
  • Evaluate new/innovative models of PrBL and share learning locally and nationally, e.g. via PrBL Virtual Community
  • Implement QSPL Action Plans to improve learning environment
  • Begin to network with HEIs
  • Identify opportunities for public health experiences during practice placements

And contribute to:

  • Design and development of local team student timetables, induction and other Standard Operating Procedures
  • Local uni-professional PrBL networks
